Our doctors were trained at Palmer College of Chiropractic to provide both very gentle chiropractic adjusting techniques as well as traditional chiropractic techniques. We frequently incorporate trigger point and massage therapy to help provide relief to many common aches and pains. Our team works together in creating a comprehensive plan to help you achieve optimum results.
Michael Aho, DC CCEP - Chiropractor
Michael Aho, DC CCEP is one of the most prominent male chiropractors serving the Chicago, IL area. He began his training by earning his bachelor of science in neurobiology and physiology from Purdue University. Afterward he graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic with his doctorate in chiropractic. Dr. Aho was also the class valedictorian, showing his dedication and achievement in the area of chiropractic care. He was also recently selected as one of America’s Top Chiropractors.
Today, Dr. Aho is a licensed chiropractor in Illinois with specialization as a Chiropractic Extremity Practitioner. He has completed post graduate courses that focus on treating conditions outside of the spine including the shoulder, hip, and feet. His training also includes Nimmo and Graston Techniques which are used to treat soft tissue conditions such as muscle injuries. Through all of Dr. Aho’s education, he continues to expand his service abilities for patients at Crosstown Chiropractic along with Dr. Amy Shevokas. Amy Shevokas, DC CCEP - Chiropractor
Amy Shevokas, DC CCEP is a forerunning female chiropractor offering treatment to the Chicago, IL area. Dr. Shevokas graduated with her bachelor of science in biology and minor in chemistry from the University of Illinois at Chicago. She continued her education graduating with a doctorate in chiropractic from Palmer College of Chiropractic with honors. Dr. Shevokas has trained in a number of chiropractic techniques including Nimmo, Palmer Package, Thompson Drop, Activator, Flexion Distraction, and Diversified treatment techniques. Her extensive training allows Dr. Shevokas to provide excellent care for a wide range of patients. Through all of Dr. Shevokas’s education, she continues to expand her service abilities for patients at Crosstown Chiropractic along with Dr. Aho.
Prior to opening Crosstown Chiropractic Dr. Shevokas worked for six years as an associate doctor in family focused chiropractic settings. Now Dr. Shevokas is serving near her home in the Irving Park neighborhood at Crosstown Chiropractic. Her treatment demographic includes patients of all ages and with a diverse list of chiropractic needs and health goals. She believes in providing unique treatment plans and introducing easy lifestyle changes to help people achieve healthier lives.
